The story of “Chuan”

“Chuan” was born from a simple wish: to create one more place where people can come back together and share good times around the table.

We believe the most delicious meal is the one you share with the people you love — parents, children and grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and close friends — passing hot dim sum to one another, sharing stories from the day, and laughing together.

That's why “Chuan” — Thai for “to invite” — is more than just our name. It's an invitation from the heart: invite your family for a weekend breakfast, invite Mom and Dad to celebrate a special day, invite old friends to sit and talk for hours.

Becoming the Chuan Dimsum you know today took us more than a year of testing, adjusting and refining every detail — from recipes, flavors and textures to the look of every bite, all the way to the design of our building and the atmosphere inside. Because even though dim sum comes in small bites, the care that goes into each one should never be small.

Every basket is filled with dim sum made fresh by hand, steamed hot and brought straight to your table. Choose from familiar classic dim sum, adorable signature creations and Hong Kong-style fried and roast dishes, all the way to congee, toast and drinks — something for everyone in the family.

Our symbol “川” means river. It stands for journeys, continuity and passing good things on — like the warmth of a family, handed down again and again without end.

We don't want you to remember “Chuan” just for delicious dim sum. We hope “Chuan” becomes the place that comes to mind whenever you think of a good meal with someone special — and that you'll want to invite someone to come back and sit with us once again.
